So were we.
This is why we developed: the CompreChip
As a lab-on-chip device, the CompreChip employs controlled pneumatic actuation of a flexible membrane to mechanically stimulate or wound tissues grown in the device's microchannels. Whether you want to study cell migration or study the effects of compressive stress on cell fate and morphology, this device can help you in your mission. Having the dimensions of a microscope slide, it is compatible with any image analysis system and can be used with several adherent cell types, thus facilitating a wide range of studies from cutaneous wound closure, to brain trauma, cancer cell studies, etc.
Time-lapse images of the generated wounds at 0 , 4, 12, 16 and 20 hours after the automated CompreChip cell deptetion. (Scale bar=200 μm)
